“Bunting has held the ISO9001 Quality Standard since May 2005 and the ISO14001 Environmental standard since February 2002.  Adapting our business operation to comply with the new standards proved to be a very positive process and has helped us make improvements.

At Bunting, we have always believed that the quality of our products, manufacturing processes, and business management is of utmost importance to us and our customers, and is one of the primary reasons for our continued success.

Through our Magnet and Magnetic Assembly divisions, whether designing bespoke magnetic components through Bunting’s Magnet arm or selling online through our e_Magnets UK shop, our customers rely on our ability to supply exactly what is specified and in the agreed time.  Many industrial sectors, such as the Automotive and Aerospace industries, insist that such standards and good controls are in place.

Every Neodymium Magnet or complex Magnetic Assembly that we design, manufacture and supply must comply with critical criteria that has been either stated or agreed with the customer.  Some of our Magnet designs are the result of months of work with the client, understanding their requirements and manufacturing a magnet-based component for a specific application.  This requires consistency of supplied product, design procedures, and manufacturing process.

We find that ensuring the management of our business complies with both the ISO9001:2015 Quality and ISO14001:2015 Environmental Standards is both positive and helpful.  And we are thrilled to announce our successful transition to the 2015 versions.”

For Reference

The ISO 9001:2015 Quality Standard was revised in 2015 and now has a definitive focus on business performance.  The process approach has been combined with risk-based thinking, promoting the Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle at all levels in the organization.  The new standard acknowledges that modern organisations will have several management standards in place, and the 2015 version has been designed to be easily integrated with other management systems.  The new version also provides a solid base for sector-quality standards (automotive, aerospace, medical industries, etc.), and takes into account the needs of regulators.

The ISO14001:2015 Environmental Standard sets out the criteria for a certifiable environmental management system.  It maps out a framework that a company or organization can follow to set up an effective environmental management system, regardless of its activity or sector.
